Workshop on “Codification of Administrative Law and Its Impact to the Practices and Theory of Administrative Law” held in Ulaanbaatar

The workshop on “Codification of Administrative Law and Its Impact to the Practice and Theory of Administrative Law” took place in Ulaanbaatar, on March 26, 2018. The event was organized and sponsored by the Asian Satellite Campuses Institute (ASCI), Nagoya University under Professor Isoda Fumio (ASCI Director), in collaboration with the School of Law, National University of Mongolia (NUM).
 


Convened by Professor Ichihashi Katsuya, the Graduate School of Law (GSL), Nagoya University, Professor P. Odgerel, the School of Law, NUM, and Judge Tsend Tsogt, ASCI graduate made insightf gul presentations. The workshop brought together a group of administrative law scholars to compare the impact of codification of administrative law to the practice and theory of administrative law in Mongolia and other transitional countries in Asia. Speakers examined recent developments and prospects for codification of administrative law in Mongolia, especially the recently adopted Law on Sanctions and the General Administrative Law and compared them with the developments in a number of other countries. University academics , legal practitioners, and a member of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia actively participated in the discussions. It is hoped that the discussions from the workshop will help to develop a better understanding of the impact of the codification of administrative law in Asian countries.
